This is the Very first boat I have ever built.  Actually my dad did most of the work because I was 9 at the time.  It is a plywood and Mahogany veneer hull and is very strong considering how many times iv dropped it.  It was just a simple 1 speed boat using a switch that put it in reverse or forward.  My grandfather built the Barbie doll skier  the second summer I had t and it worked very well.  She sits when not moving and lifts out of the water when the boat accelerates.  It now is a shelf boat as I have retired her as the radio equipment has died and I don't want to replace it.
